The primary challenge involved repositioning the traditional garlic festival image often perceived as outdated or unappealing, into a playful, engaging, and visually dynamic experience. Research into comparable events revealed the need for a modular system that could adapt seamlessly to diverse formats and remain visually consistent.



CREDITS.
The branding draws inspiration from farmer’s markets, hand-drawn labels, and garlic’s quirky character. The visual direction focuses on fun and approachability, using custom illustrations, wavy lines, and irregular shapes to mimic the playful unpredictability of garlic.

A cohesive visual system was developed using hand-drawn illustrations, irregular shapes, and bold color contrasts. The design was applied across posters, merchandise, social media graphics, tickets, and motion assets, ensuring a consistent yet energetic look suitable for community engagement and festival branding.
